Coventry Food Festival

Coventry Food Festival

Calling all foodies! After an amazing event in 2019, the Coventry Food Festival is back with a bang in 2021, promising to be bigger, better and brighter from the 23rd-25th July.

The past 12 months have been incredibly difficult for many businesses, with extra challenges for those in the hospitality industry, this festival will see many of the local and regional foodies gather together to make the festival a roaring success. The food festival will be hosting a range of artisan food producers in the region, with dedicated zones for gluten free and vegan produce, there is something for the whole family, so bring your friends and family for a wonderful day out in the sunshine enjoying foods from diverse cultures and flavours from around the world.

Coventry BID have announced celebrity Michelin Star chef, Theo Randall, will be taking the headline slot on the Saturday and Lesley Waters showcasing her skills on the Sunday with a range of chefs joining the line up over the weekend to share their cooking knowledge, ideas and inspiration with us through live demonstrations and cookery theatre shows.

If the huge variety of food on offer doesn’t get you excited, we’re sure after lockdown, home-schooling and working from home, the craft ales, cocktails bars, beer vans and other delightful drinks will definitely have you up and dancing to the city centre.

There will also be special guests, live music and DJ’s to make the weekend a truly eventful one, there will be so much to do and see throughout the Food Festival that it’s an event that cannot be missed, so put it in your calendar and turn up ready to eat and drink your fill!

If you’re interested in featuring in the line-up and sharing your delicious produce with the thousands of visitors to the event, then you can find out more and book your stall on the Coventry Food Festival website. https://coventryfoodfestival.com/

#Covhour was started on 22nd August 2013 and was the first online networking hour for Coventry.  It was set up with the aim to help local businesses to connect, to share information and to support each other.  Now with a community of more than 10,500 followers in less than four years, we can safely say that this has been achieved!

The unique thing about this online networking group is that it was started by a local Coventry woman Joanne Brooks and unlike most other groups she does not run her own business she is employed by a business in the City.  When asked about the reason she started #Covhour Joanne replied "I enjoy connecting people and I am so proud of the city having lived here all my life, that I wanted to do my bit and to give something back.  I have met so many wonderful people through #Covhour and although it is a big commitment running the networking hour every week, I just love it!"

Joanne continues to host #Covhour every Thursday between 8 pm and 9 pm and so why not join in this Thursday?
