Free Coventry Networking – Covhour Live

On Thursday 11th October #covhour moved from Twitter to the beautiful surroundings of the Old Grammar School in Coventry City Centre.

The night got off to a great start with refreshments supplied by Esquires Cafe which included the famous Coventry Godcake. If you join us for #covhour regularly you will know there is always much conversation about Godcakes and the fact that the #covhourlive team hasn’t tried them. As they were on the menu it seemed the obvious choice and they certainly went down a storm.

Jo Brooks took to the stage to welcome everybody to the event and then it was on to Martin Sutherland who spoke very inspirationally about Coventry 2021 and the path we would be taking over the next couple of years, and how everyone has the opportunity to be involved.

It was then on to the ever enthusiastic Trish Willetts who talked with passion about her plans for Coventry City Centre over the coming months and years.

Adrian Woolford shared details of the team who were sleeping out in Coventry Cathedral in aid of St Basil’s Charity.

Kate Keene from Piece of Cake Marketing shared some top tips for taking part in #covhour and then it was on to some networking.

A great night was had by all, stop by the Facebook page to have a look at all the amazing photographs from the evening.

A big thank you to our speaker Martin Sutherland from Coventry 2021 and Trish Willetts / Adrian Woolford from Coventry Bid. Our sponsors for the event EMK Events and Coventry Bid and the wonderful photographer for the evening, David Fawbert.
