A great family day out at the Coventry Food and Drink Festival

The 23rd and 24th June saw the return of the Food and Drink Festival to Coventry City Centre.

The #covhour team took a family trip out in the hope of catching a glimpse of award winning tv chef Phil Vickery and enjoying the buzz in the city centre. First on the agenda was feeding the children, so whilst they ate pizza and burgers we treated ourselves to a Prosecco from the Prosecco Bus and Beer from Truth & Alibi. On stage we watched the chefs from Hampton Manor expertly do their thing and talk about their beautiful venue.

This was followed by Trish Willetts making Kate & Emma’s dreams come true as they talked to Phil Vickery about Jersey Royals and grabbed a picture.

We then went off to the Kids Kitchen where the children and Chris enjoyed preparing a noodle dish. This was quickly followed by slush puppies and sweets all round from one of the stall holders.

The kids’ fun continued as they had their faces painted by the wonderful #covhour team member Christine from Unique Face Painting. Whilst the kids were entertained the adults enjoyed the music on the bandstand, Chris had the best burger he had ever tasted and Emma had gin from Bayley Lane Kitchen.

A fab time was had by all, well done to Trish and the Coventry Bid Team for all the hard work they put in. See you next year!
