Covhour 2017

2017 was an amazing year for Covhour. The Twitter networking hour has grown so much. So too has the Team. What a year! Here’s what we got up to in 2017.

I decided to enter the Coventry Half Marathon for the 4th year with only 8 weeks to train.

Got my charity running vest for the Coventry Half Marathon. I decided to run in memory of my Mother in Law Norah.

I visited Leave it to Esme - a Caribbean bar & restaurant based at Fargo Village - the food was amazing and I recommend that you take a trip.

I attended my first Women in Business Conference organised by Socially Shared - it was an inspiring and brilliant day.

I successfully completed the Coventry Half Marathon!

Time to enter another Race! My husband and I entered the Regency 10K in Leamington Spa - this was the first time we had entered this race – we really enjoyed it – there was lots of support around the course.

We shared our big news! Covhour was going live! Our first event would take place in June 2017.

I attended Earlsdon festival and met up with the talented Nick Shingler.

Planning meeting with the lovely ladies from the Covhourlive team

Went on a tour at the old Coventry Evening Telegraph building - what an amazing building!

Attended Motofest, supported the bid for UK City of Culture 2021 and met the fab Deep Fact Friar from Coventry Priory for the first time.

Third race of the year - the Two Castles managed to squeeze in a chat with Fire & Earth afterwards.

I also attended Cov Pride and Coventry Food & Drink Festival.

The first Covhourlive event at Herbert Art Gallery

What a brilliant evening. I was so nervous but the Covhourlive team were amazing!

Godiva festival – so pleased to get a wristband to show support the UK City of Culture 2021 Bid.

Had a great article in the Coventry Evening Telegraph by our MC of the Covhourlive event - Brody Swain

Went to the Weavers House to celebrate their 10th anniversary and also met Lady Godiva - The building is such an hidden gem

I celebrated 4 years of running #Covhour

I celebrated my 50th Birthday by travelling to New York. I took a little guest the mini monk from Priory Visitors Centre.

Time for our second Covhourlive event of 2017, this time we were at the Butts Park Arena.

I attended the Belgrade Theatre to see Godiva Rocks, what a fantastic show!

Invited to attended VIP Coventry Christmas Light Switch On as guest of Trish Willets from Coventry Bid. Great to see so many people in the city centre.

Our final Covhourlive of 2017 was held at the Priory Visitor Centre - we enjoyed mulled wine, hot chocolate & mince pies thanks to Bayley Lane. We all showed our support for Coventry and hoped that we would win our bid to be UK City of Culture 2021.

Coventry wins UK City of Culture 2021!!!

I got festive at the Village Hotel with afternoon tea at the Village Hotel.

To finish the year I went on a Winter Wonderland Wall Walk in Coventry City Centre with the fab Deep Fact Friar - it was a very cold day but we have so much history. I enjoyed it so much I will do this walk again this year.

As you can see the Covhourlive team were very busy during 2017. We are available to review and promote your events or services through our social media channels. If you have an event that you would like us to attend - just drop an email to…
